UPDATE!!!!! ★★★★★ From Absolute Beginner to Performing Live!"I cannot say enough good things about Chris Hirsch and Hirsch Guitar Academy in Bossier City! When I started lessons a couple of years ago, I was an absolute beginner who had never even picked up a guitar. Today, I consider myself an intermediate player—all thanks to Chris's incredible teaching system. I even just played 'All the Small Things' by Blink-182 and 'Your Love' by The Outfield with his band at a student showcase held at Hurricane Alley! His system is perfect because it balances technique, music theory, riffs, and full songs, building your skills and your confidence simultaneously. Chris completely tailors the lessons to the songs you want to learn, makes complex music theory simple to understand, and helps you truly develop your ear for music. The studio environment is welcoming and unique. The classes are fun, exciting, and thought-provoking, filled with a diverse mix of people of all ages—I regularly attend class with students ranging from late teens to 70-year-olds! It’s the perfect place whether you are a brand-new beginner or someone wanting to get back into playing. If you want to actually learn to play and experience the thrill of performing, this is the place to go!" Previous Review( last year) If you are even thinking about learning guitar, getting better at guitar or want to have fun while you are learning music, take the free introductory lesson with Chris. You will sign up on the spot!! Chris is an excellent musician, a great teacher and an even better motivator. You will WANT to practice to improve and learn more. Chris makes it fun and pushes you to achieve YOUR goals. You will be playing songs and riffs right away ( I learned the theme from Batman the first lesson--LOL , it is really easy but hey, I learned a song). Chris keeps the class moving forward, challenging each student to the level of their ability and where they are in their musical journey. We learned a song last week and jammed. The beginners played simple chords on the beat. The more experienced students played harmonies, solos and melodies. The advanced students improvised with triads, barre chords and different strumming patterns. End result, we all played togehter and the song sounded awesome. This group activity makes you want to practice to get better and you can not wait for the next class. Chris is always positive, helps each student through their sticking points ( I have big sausage fingers so getting a clear sound is a challenge right now, Chris works with me every week providing various exercises to help me improve and it works!!!) Come join us, take the introductory lesson and set some goals and jam on.Posted on Google![]()

My son, Michael, LOVES the guitar thanks to Chris Hirsch and his unique way of teaching! My son played songs after 4 lessons that my friends' children did not learn in 8 months!!! The way Chris runs his business and the passion he has for each and every student is phenomenal!!! If you or your child has ever thought about learning to play the guitar, give Chris and his staff a call and I promise you will be blown away by how fast you are playing!!Posted on Google![]()

With the same veracity I’ve enjoyed combat sports with for 13 years, I’ve enjoyed Hirsch Guitar Academy in the past 6 months, and I imagine it will sustain my interest for just as long. The classes are structured in such a way that I’ll never have to worry about what I may have missed with a different teacher; this seems to be a complete education. Technique, musical knowledge, set list, and then the secret sauce. The staff promote an amazing learning environment and every student I’ve encountered shares the same love and passion for learning: it’s infectious. If you are at all interested in learning guitar — or even finding out if you’re interested in learning guitar — you’d be remiss not to try Hirsch Guitar Academy.
